Sangria is a classic punch comprised of wine, soda water and various fruits.
Today we will be looking at a unique twist on the time-tested with Watermelon Sangria. This variation of sangria packs more of a punch, bringing a strong dose of vodka to the party balanced out with the refreshing flavor of pureed watermelon.
To begin mixing this delicious punch, prepare the following:
2 pounds of seedless watermelon
6 ounces of vodka
1 bottle of dry white wine
4 ounces of citrus syrup
4 ounces of triple sec
Cube the 2 pounds of watermelon and then place into a blender (a food processor will do the job too).
Puree the watermelon cubes and then strain them into a pitcher.
Add the rest of the wet ingredients and then chill the concoction for at least a couple of hours to let the various flavors meld.
Pour the finished product into a wine glass with ice cubes and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
